Nawaz wants EU role for Pakistan-India talks

RAIWIND: Mian Nawaz Sharif, Chief of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), urged Sweden and European Union to make efforts in brining both Pakistan and India on the dialogue table.

This he said while speaking to Swedish envoys, who called on the PML-N leader at Raiwand on Tuesday. He said that friendly ties between Pakistan and India were vital for the regional stability.

The PML-N chief said that the EU should play its role for halting atrocities being carried out by India on the Kashmiri people.

Nawaz said that dispensation of justice and establishment of good governance were the government’s responsibility.

The government, he said, should not provide anyone a justification to derail the democratic system.

The former prime minister said that the government and world community should provide financial assistance to the terror-hit people of Swat and tribal areas.
