Govt to review decision on advancing clocks: Gilani
ISLAMABAD: The government is ready to withdraw the decision of advancing clocks by one hour from April 1, 2010, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said on Friday. Gilani was responding to points of order raised in the National Assembly by the members belonging to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. They said the advancing of clocks was a futile excise as it caused nuisance to the public. Gilani said the decision was taken by the federal cabinet last year to save energy, adding however, that if the House was of the view that advancement in time created problems for the people, he had no hesitation in accepting the House’s proposals. staff report
