LHC to hear plea against President’s dual offices
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has approved a writ petition against dual office of President Asif Ali Zardari for hearing.The court Monday issued notices to the Presidency, Government of Pakistan and Attorney General calling reply on May 05.
The petition filed in LHC said that President Asif Ali Zardari is also the co-chairman of Peoples Party and argued that holding the dual office is violation of the constitution and the law.
The five-member bench of LHC approved the petition for hearing and issued notices to the Presidency, Government of Pakistan and Attorney General calling reply on May 05.
