NAB Prosecutor General Danishwar Malik sacked
ISLAMABAD: The government has sacked the Prosecutor General of National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Danishwar Malik and Staff Officer of Interior Minister, Sajjad Haider, Geo News reported Wednesday.
It may be reminded here that the Supreme Court in its ruling on Dec 17 had ordered to remove Danishwar Malik as Prosecutor General of NAB.
Malik is also the same person, who had taken the Swiss record into his possession in Geneva.
In addition, Sajjad Haider, Staff Officer of Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik, has also been dismissed.
Haider is considered a close friend of Interior Minister Malik and is also a beneficiary of controversial NRO, which was later struck down by the apex court. Besides, Haider is also a co-accused in Yellow Cab scam. He had served under then FIA Additional Director Rehman Malik. Later, he was dismissed by the Interior Secretary.
Sajjad Haider had also spent seven years in London with Rehman Malik. After getting relief under the NRO, Haider returned to country was restored by Interior Secretary Kamal Shah on Malik’s insistence.
