No wish list exchanged during strategic dialogue: HaqqaniISLAMABAD: No wish list was exchanged during the strategic dialogue between the US and Pakistan but a document regarding the country’s strategic vision was handed over to the Americans, Pakistani Ambassador to US Hussain Haqqani said on Tuesday.
Talking to a private TV channel, the ambassador said all the stakeholders prepared the document jointly, which defines Pakistan’s strategic paradigm and concerns. “We expect that the US will understand the demands of our national security, although we do not expect the same response from the US”, he said. “We told them about our sacrifices for Afghanistan and why we need a friendly regime in Kabul and what our requirements for the economy are” he said. app
