PM links strong democratic system to CoD implementation
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani Thursday phoned PML-N chief Mian Mohammed Nawaz Sharif and discussed current political landscape, Geo News reported.
Spokesman to PM House said that PM Gilani on the occasion said that strengthening of national institutions in accordance with the rules set by constitution is the need of the hour, recalling the sacrifices laid down by political parties to bring democracy back on track.
He linked implementation of Charter of Democracy (CoD) to the strong democratic system in Pakistan. “Democratic system can be strengthened in country through using Charter of Democracy (CoD), ” Nawaz underlined.
Sharif also urged all political forces to untie in the face of prevailing challenges of the time.
“It’s incumbent upon all political parties to play their roles in leading country out of troubles, ” he emphasized.
Also, PML-N chief assured government of backing PPP-made policies in favour of masses.
