No political motive behind the case: Sanaullah
LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Law, Rana Sanaullah, has termed the president Asif Zardari’s statement, in reaction to the indictment of Federal Law Minister Babar Awan, as extremely unfortunate, a private TV channel reported on Sunday. While talking to the channel, Sanaullah said, “Babar Awan should have fought the case himself in the court,” adding that it was his “responsibility”. He said that the case had nothing to do with any sort of politics, adding that Babar was well aware of the case registered against him in the court and that he should respect the court. “It was a citizen who had registered the case against Babar Awan and the Punjab government is not the plaintiff in this case,” Sanaullah clarified. “There is no political motive behind this case,” the channel quoted him as saying. daily times monitor
