Mirza says he is ready to sacrifice for PPP
KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza reiterated on Monday that he was ready to render sacrifices for the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) if he was removed on the demand of the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM). Talking to reporters, Mirza said that even if he was removed from the provincial cabinet he would remain a dedicated PPP worker as no one could end his party membership. He said he was committed to continue jihad as per the philosophy of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto. Mirza added that Lyari was a PPP stronghold and the people living there were loyal to the PPP. He vehemently criticised a media house for wrong portrayal of his speech, saying it had created a rift between coalition partner MQM and the PPP. Mirza added that he had taken the Sindh governor into confidence over the Lyari issue. masroor afzal pasha
