Malik reviews ‘New Security Alerts’
ISLAMABAD: The Interior Ministry reviewed ‘New Security Alerts’ and discussed matters and challenges related to security issues of the Capital City in a high level meeting held here on Wednesday.
Interior Minister A.Rehman Malik presided over the meeting and attended by Secretary Interior ministry, Qamar-uz-Zaman Chaudhry, Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Islamabad, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Security) Islamabad and Senior Superintendent of Police.
The meeting discussed matters related to security of the Capital City with special reference to Law and Order situation in the Capital and decided to enhance security by taking more measures in this regard aimed at providing foolproof security to citizens.
The meeting also decided to introduce more effective intelligence sharing between the institutions besides improving coordination among them.
The meeting further decided to make security checking system at entry and exit points of the Capital City more practical and effective.
