No rift between centre, Punjab over Davis issue: Khosa
RAWALPINDI: Punjab Governor, Latif Khosa, on Tuesday said that the Centre and Punjab do not have any difference on Raymond Davis case and that he enjoys a good working relationship with the Punjab government.
Khosa, flanked by Fatima Jinnah Women University Vice Chancellor Dr Saeeda Asadullah Khan, was talking to journalists during his visit to the university.
When asked about the Davis case and the issuance of an arrest warrant of former president Pervez Musharraf, Khosa said that the cases were sub judice and it would be better to wait for the court’s decision on both the issues, assuring that the matter of Davis would be dealt as per the constitution and law of Pakistan.
Over the killing of Minority Affairs Minister, Shahbaz Bhatti, the Punjab governor said, “The killing of Shahbaz Bhatti was the murder of the whole humanity. His murderer was the foe of democracy as well as the country. The investigations are underway and the Islamabad police has recovered the vehicle that was used in the crime and apprehended some suspects.” He said the pamphlet which was recovered from the crime scene was an attempt to divert the investigations. staff report
