Verdict reserved in Zardari dual office case


LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Thursday reserved its verdict in the dual office petition filed against PPP Co-Chairman and President Asif Ali Zardari after two-and-a-half year of hearing, Geo News reported.

Four-member full bench headed by Chief Justice Ijaz Chaudhry conducted hearing of the case.

Lawyers of President Asif Ali Zardari and federal government boycotted the court proceedings.

The court reserved its verdict on the petition filed by Pakistan Lawyers’ Forum, Awami People’s Party and Asif Mehmood Advocate. They had pleaded that President Asif Ali Zardari could not held dual office.(GEO URDU)
