CID team overpowers notorious criminalStaff Report
KARACHI: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) on Thursday claimed to have arrested a notorious criminal from Yousuf Goth in the limits of Surjani Town police station.
On a tip-off, a CID team, headed by SSP Muhammad Fayyaz Khan, conducted a raid at Yousuf Goth where an encounter took place in which notorious criminal Muharram Machhi alias Mehro and a police constable Muhammad Kashif were injured. The CID team arrested Mehro with a TT pistol and five rounds.
The CID officials said the detained criminal had revealed during initial course of investigation that he had committed over 100 serious offenses, including murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping for ransom, in different districts of Sindh.
They said the Sindh government had announced Rs 0.5 million bounty for his arrest and added that further probe in this regard was underway to dig out more facts from the detained criminal.
