Protests held against Davis acquittal
LAHORE: Various religious and political parties besides social and lawyers’ organizations have started protests against acquittal of US national Raymond Davis in different cities, Geo News reported on Thursday.
In Multan, lawyers of district and high court bar boycotted court proceedings. Activists of Jamat-e-Islami staged protest demonstration at Goal Bagh.
Political and religious parties and Labour Qaumi Movement held protest demonstrations in Faisalabad.
Protests were also witnessed in Laki Marwat, D G Khan, Muzaffarghar, Charsada, and other cities besides Azad Kashmir.
Ordinary citizens, activists of different political parties chanted slogans against Davis and burnt tyres.
