NWA elders vow to take revenge
PESHAWAR: Tribal elders in North Waziristan Agency vowed on Friday to avenge a US-backed drone strike conducted Thursday in Datta Khel area while tribal chieftains from South Waziristan and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leaders belonging to FATA strongly condemned the attack. The lethal predator attack on a tribal jirga, which left over three dozen civilians dead and several injured, has triggered a backlash as an NWA tribal elder, Malik Jalaluddin, declared a jihad against the United States. “We want to avenge the killings. We never forgive our enemy. I allow suicide attacks on Americans,” the elder, who was accompanied by three other influential tribal leaders, said in a news conference. staff report
