Coalmine blast toll reaches to 10
QUETTA: At least ten miners have died and over 42 others, with bleak chances of survival, are trapped in a coalmine after methane gas sparked explosions causing collapse of mine 1200meters underground in Surran range, some 35km east of Quetta in the wee hours of Sunday.
Chief Mines Inspector Balochistan, Iftikhar Ahmed told media that at least mine people have been killed and 41 were trapped in a PMDC's coalmine when due to the accumulation of methane gas it caved in at 3am, late Saturday night.
Army has also been called to assist the other teams in the rescue operation, he said.(APP/Geo Urdu)
