PML-Q to boycott president’s address to parliament
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League- Quaid (PML-Q) on Sunday decided to boycott the joint session of parliament scheduled for March 22, in protest against the government’s failures on several issues of national importance.
The decision was taken at a party’s meeting chaired by PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. The meeting expressed concern over the government’s failure to check price hike, unemployment and law and order situation. The meeting said, “Instead of introducing tangible measures to resolve people’s problems, the PPP and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) wasted three months on a 10-point reforms agenda.”
Meanwhile, Chaudhry Shujaat has started making contacts with leaders of various political parties to chalk out a joint strategy in this regard. app
