PC DFW celebrates Pakistan Day

DALLAS: Pakistan Council of Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) celebrated Pakistan Day with enthusiasm and fervor at FunAsia Richardson. The Program was held on Sunday (March 20, 2011) at Fun Asia Richardson, where children competed in national and patriotic songs.

Pakistani community members attended program with their family and salute the struggle of the heroes of Independence Movement and enjoyed the evening.

President of Pakistani Association of Nashville Canada Dr Sarwat Ajmal spoke at this occasion. His daughters Zaynah and Namrah also participated in kids talent show. Other children participants included Muhammad Jamal, Sharnali, Asad Haroon, Noor Asifa, Haroon, Zareen, Khan Brothers, Jawid Awies.

President of PC DFW A K Khan while speaking on this occasion stressed on providing opportunities to kids so that they could know their heritage through language and culture.

Famous Pakistani political, social and literary personalities Mr Syed Fayyaz Hassan, Aftab siddique, President of Pakistani Association of Nashville Canada Dr Sarwat Ajmal, PAT Leader Pervez Shahzad, Younus Aijaz, journalist Awais Naseer, founder of Urdu Ghar Dr. Amir Sulaiman, Rahila Mirani, PPP President Raja Zahid Khanzada, Abid and others were also present in the event

Judges in kid's talent show Dr Qamer_ul- zaman, Imran godwani, and Nelum Deawi announced 1st 2nd and 3rd winner of talent show.Winners of the competition will receive splendid gifts and prizes on the upcoming big Pakistan Day event on 25 March at Fun Asia Irving, where renowned Pakistani artists will distribute gifts and prizes: Among expected artists are Saud, Comedian, Shakeel Siddique, Humaira Arshad, Ahmed Jehanzaib, and Chand Puri.
