KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has announced that targeted action would be launched from Monday's night against the criminal dens operating in Karachi, across the board.
Malik admitted that 154 people have been killed since 10th March 2011 out of which 43 casualties were on account of target killings.
Addressing a press conference after holding a high level meeting on security situation in the province, particularly, in Karachi, at Chief Minister House here, he said 11 high profile alleged target killers in the city have been arrested in a joint operation by the personnel of police and law enforcement agencies in recent days.
Malik asked all the political parties to clear their parties from criminals. He said that there were some criminal elements in People's Aman Committee, adding that action have already been taken against them.
