Rao lauds Pak-Indian PMs cricket meeting

MOHALI: Prime Ministers Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and Manmohan Singh Wednesday held wide-ranging talks to bring in a "Mohali spirit" to the relations between India and Pakistan, Indian Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao said.

"Indian prime minister and the prime minister of Pakistan have had a wide range of conversation on various issues, of relevance to the relations between India and Pakistan," Rao told reporters after the dinner meeting between Manmohan Singh and Gilani at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium where the India-Pakistan semifinal was played.

She said the two leaders met with the "Thimpu spirit", referring to their meeting in April last year on the margins of the SAARC summit.

"It would be appropriate to say that today there was a Mohali spirit. This is encouraging and positive spirit."
