Gilani greets India, Pak teams

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said on Wednesday that the semi-final between the cricket teams of Pakistan and India helped in bringing the two nations and their leadership together. “I want to congratulate both the teams for demonstrating sportsmanship and quality game. Today’s match brought the peoples and leadership of the two countries together. This, I believe is the positive outcome (of the match),” Gilani said in a message. Winning or losing a game did not matter as much as its quality and the team spirit, said the prime minister, adding that “in fact, it is the success of both the teams”. He conveyed special felicitations to the Indian team for showing better performance and determination. staff report
