Taliban, third force involved in attacks on Karachi police stations: IG Sindh
KARACHI: Inspector General Sindh Police (IGP) Fayyaz Leghari said Sunday that Tehreek-e-Taliban (Jalaluddin Haqqani Group) and a third force were involved in attacks on police stations in the city.
Speaking to the media at a free medical camp, Leghari said that targeted operations had been held in Lyari, Kati Pahari and Moach Goth. “Upon further information, operations will also be held in other areas.”
The IGP added that a motorcycle police squad had been formed to tackle the growing number of threats which take place during traffic jams in Karachi.
