Caretaker set-up at midnight on March 16
KARACHI: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and PPP leader Syed Khurshid Shah on Saturday said that interim set-up will be in place on March 16 at midnight. “There will be interim government in country right at 12:01 am after March 16,” the minister said while talking to reporters after attending a ceremony here. He said that consultation was underway for the name of interim prime minister and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was likely to propose its names for the post after its meeting shortly. The minister said that for the first time parliamentarians knew as to when the National Assembly was going to expire. He said that President Asif Ali Zardari will give farewell dinner to all the parliamentarians if the opposition agreed to attend the ceremony.
