If voted to power : Nawaz vows to resolve energy crisis, Kashmir dispute
* PML-N chief says would build railway track from Peshawar to Karachi
MARDAN: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif said on Friday that the PPP and its allies have failed to deliver in the last five years.
He said bloodshed has continued in Karachi and Balochistan where innocent people are being killed. “If we come to power we will maintain law and order situation in the country,” he said while addressing a huge public meeting here on Friday. Khawaja Muhammad Khan Hoti, Pir Sabir Shah and Advocate Inayat Shah Bacha also addressed the public meeting.
PML-N workers of Mardan, Malakand, Swabi, Nowshera and other areas attended the meeting in large numbers. Former district president of the Awami National Party (ANP) and ex-president of Mardan District Bar Advocate Abdul Hameed Khan, Surish Komar and Haji Mir Alam along with their family and supporters announced joining the PML-N in Nawaz Sharif’s presence.
Nawaz said that when he was in power the country was on the way to progress and development, and had he remained in power the situation in the country would have been different. He said that during his rule the Pakistani currency and economy were stronger than that of India, and Pakistan was considered a more developed country than India. He said he wanted to link Torkham to Karachi and Gwadar at the time and also linked the motorway to Jalalabad, Kabul, Mazar-e-Sharif and Tashkand, and in this connection he arranged a meeting with presidents of both the countries.
The PML-N chief added that if he came to power he would try his best to resolve the power crisis within two years and also start building a railway track from Peshawar to Karachi. He added that he would also develop better relations with Afghanistan and solve the Kashmir dispute. Nawaz said that the Punjab government provided free treatment to the poor kidney patients and also gave houses to the poor people and free laptops to the students.
He added that the PPP has been in power for the last five years in Centre and three provinces, but it failed to provide relief to the masses. He added that Zardari and his allies have taken the country to the edge of destruction. Nawaz added that if he came to power he would establish four industrial zones in Mardan district and also establish a kidney and burn centre. “We presented written a constitution to the nation and we will follow our constitution if we came in power,” he added. online
