Parliamentary Committee approves JC recommendations
ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary Committee on Judges Appointment has approved the recommendations regarding appointment of seven additional judges in the Peshawar High Court (PHC) and a six-month extension to six judges of the Lahore High Court (LHC) for six months.According to the sources, the parliamentary committee has granted approval to the recommendation of Judicial Council (JC).
Those who were approved to be appointed included Abdul Latif Khan, Malik Manzoor Hussain, Syed Afsar Shah, Musarrat Hilali, Lal Jan Khattak, Muhammad Saud Khan and Ikramullah Khan as additional judges in the Peshawar High Court (PHC).
On the other hand, Additional judges of the Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Aisha Malik, Justice Abdul Sami Khan, Justice Abdul Rehman Lodhi, Justice Shujaat A Khan, Justice Shahid Hameed and Justice Ali Baqar are granted six-month extension.
