Aftab Sherpao warns of protests if elections delayed

SWAT: Chairman Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), Aftab Sherpao Monday warned that in case elections are delayed a protest movement would be launched by bringing people on to the streets, Geo News reported.

Addressing a gathering on the occasion of his elder brother's death anniversary, Sherpao said the Pakhtuns are being butchered in Karachi and the rest of the country under a comprehensive strategy.

"A single blast made the so-called leaders of Pakhtuns leave the country and shift abroad," he said, adding it is the army that restored peace in Swat and not the Awami National Party (ANP).

He said after martyrdom of 40,000 people it has suddenly occurred to those, who feasted on power for five years, that they should engage in talks.
