SHC issues notices to DG Port and Shipping over Islands sale
KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Friday issued notices to chief secretary Sindh, secretary and Director General Port and Shipping over an application moved by the Pakistan Muslim League-Functional against the sale of two islands.
The application moved through MB Khatian Advocate noted that Dingi and Bhandar Islands were property of the Sindh government while the Port Qasim Authority sold them to a private party.
It also maintained that an agreement was signed with a foreign company without the consent of the Sindh government, which was also illegal, a reference to an MoU signed between Bahria Town and a US investor.
