Jamshed Dasti announces to quit PPP

MUZAFFARGARH: A Member of National Assembly (MNA) from Muzaffargarh Jamshed Dasti announced his departure from Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Friday.

Jamshed Dasti said that he would contest next general elections as independent candidate from NA 177 and 178.

He claimed that former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar inaugurated a project today which has no existence.

Dasti further said that Hina Rabbani Khar and her father opposed him in by-polls that took place in 2010, adding that he had told the party leadership that he would contest elections against Khar.
