TI is PML-N subsidiary, says MemonKarachi: Sharjeel Memon, Deputy Information Secretary PPP, has described Transparency International as subsidiary of PML (N) and indeed working as part of Media Cell of the Party.
He said that the haste shown in the issuance of certificates (clean chits) in favor of Punjab government by the Transparency International clearly manifested that it had been reduced to Transparency International (N).
He added that billions of rupees were frittered away in ‘Sasti Roti Scheme’ and today the price of the Roti had jumped to over Rs. 7/- thus causing extreme resentment among the poor people. He said that the Metro bus Project was another symbol of corruption because the actual cost is much higher than certified by the Punjab government and Transparency International (N). He added that resources of various departments of Punjab government were devoted for the project which had not been accounted for its cost besides expenditures incurred on demolition and compensation. pr
