1965 war hero Air Commodore MM Alam dies


KARACHI: Air Commodore (Retd) Muhammad Mahmood Alam, Sitara-i-Jur’at (with Bar), after prolonged illness, breathed his last at PNS Shifa, in Karachi on Monday. He was a veteran of 1965 and 1971 wars and a world-renowned ace pilot of Pakistan Air Force. According to a press release he was 78. Air Chief Marshal, Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of Air Staff PAF has expressed his grief on the sad demise of the iconic legend. The Air Chief further said that any chronicles on the World’s Aviation Hall of Fame or accomplishments of the PAF would remain incomplete without the mention of the (Retd) air commodore Alam. staff report
