New delimitations: PPP also files petition in SHC

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) became the second party after Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) that filed a petition in Sindh High Court (SHC) against new delimitations of constituencies in Karachi, Geo News reported on Monday.

According to details, PPP Sindh President Sindh Abdul Qadir Patel submitted the plea against delimitation of his own constituency (NA-239).

Talking to media men, Patel said that they were not against new delimitations but his party was not taken in confidence before delimiting his constituency.

Delimitation should be carried out keeping in view revenue, administrative affairs and population, adding that recommendations of stakeholders should also be considered before delimitation, Patel further said.
