PTI to uproot system based on injustice, inequality: Imran

MIANWALI: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Monday vowed to uproot the system based on injustice and inequality from the country with the support of poor and oppressed masses.

“PTI along with poor masses will fight to end oppression from the country. The poor populace will now rule the country and cruel system will no more exist in Pakistan.” He said while addressing a major public gathering here at government high school ground. He added that 11th May would be the day of accountability for those people who had looted public money.”

Vowing to fulfil his six promises made during PTI’s public gathering in Lahore on March 23, Khan disclosed his seventh promise that he would not bow before any foreign country, adding that he won’t compromise on sovereignty of the country at any cost. “I will not make the country as slave of America,” vowed Imran.

Imran said PTI was the country’s only political party which had held intra-party elections to promote democratic culture.

He urged politicians to bring back their money from foreign bank accounts. Imran Khan said all the past rulers worked for their own interest, but his party would work for the development of the country and the masses.

The PTI leader said those who were responsible for the present state of affairs in the country could not bring about any change, as they were the beneficiaries. He added that he would never lie to the masses. After coming into power, he said, PTI would change the ‘Thana culture’ and all out efforts would be extended to ensure speedy justice for everyone, he maintained.

Khan reiterated that powers would be extended at grass root level and the committees would be formed in every village to monitor the concerned police stations and station souse officers (SHO) would also be removed if they failed to deliver.

PTI chief said that MNAs and MPAs would not be given the powers to appoint police inspectors in ‘new’ Pakistan, and the development funds would also be provided to the same committees so that they could utilise government funds according to will of public. Khan said people would select their candidates and PTI would distribute all the tickets on merit.

PTI chairman said that despite being gifted by a number of natural resources, people in Mianwali could not get benefited from those resources. He added that the world was making progress while the people living in Mianwali were going backward.

He said PTI would have to compete with parties of status quo during upcoming elections. “Kalabagh Dam will be formed after the will of our Sindhi brothers and no one will be allowed to pilfer water from Sindh,” said Imran. He said that after the formation of new Pakistan, people would not have to go abroad in search of vocation.
