ECP orders removal of SBP Deputy Governor in 24 hoursISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan has ordered the removal of Deputy Governor State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Ashraf Mehmood in 24 hours, Geo News reported.
Sources said the commission has rejected the reply of finance ministry and ordered removal of the deputy governor SBP in 24 hours. It also sought report over the sacking.
It may be noted here that the finance ministry had refused to sack deputy governor and stated that he was appointed by the federal government under SBP act.
