Nawaz says will award party tickets to best candidatesLAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif on Thursday chaired a meeting of parliamentary board of his party to finalize candidates for the National Assembly and provincial assembly elections.
Those who attended the meeting also included Shahbaz Sharif, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Khuwaja Saad Rafique, Mushahidullah Khan, Pervez Rashid, Begam Ishrat Ashraf, Khuwaja Asif and former MNAs and MPAs hailing from Lahore.
Nawaz Sharif said that the PML-N would award party tickets for upcoming general election to the best candidates.
He also applauded Mian Shahbaz Sharif and workers for overcoming dengue fever in Punjab.
According to a statement issued by the PML-N, party workers reposed full confidence in the leadership of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif.
The meeting was still underway.
