Najam Sethi holds meetings with political leadership
LAHORE: Punjab caretaker Chief Minister Najam Sethi on Thursday held meetings with the leadership of various political parties in a bid to pave the way for holding free and fair election in the province, Geo News reported.
A day after taking oath of his office, Mr Sethi called on Pakistan Msulim League-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif, former Punjab chief minister Shahbaz Sharif, Pakistan Muslim League-Q leader Chaudhry Pervez Elahi and leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami.
Pervez Elahi told the caretaker chief minister that Punjab administration was unable to hold free and fair election as it was appointed by former rulers of the province.
He demanded of Sethi to change the bureaucracy to hold transparent election. Najam Sethi also discussed this issue with the leaders of other political parties.
