Encroachment of govt lands: Report submitted to SCKARACHI: A report regarding encroachment of lands in Karachi was submitted to the Supreme Court on Sunday.
Senior Member Board Of Revenue Sindh Fazlur Rehman submitted the report that revealed that DHA, Karachi Port Trust, MDA, Port Qasim Authority and Malir Cantt had encroached 5257 acres, 769 acres, 9512 acres, 3690 acres and 1522 acres government land respectively.
The reports stated that different government departments encroached 52130 acres of land in Karachi and notices have been served to retrieve the land.
