Govt. urged to respond positively to Taliban ceasefire: Yusuf Shah
NOWSHERA: Taliban committee coordinator Maulana Yusuf Shah Sunday said that Taliban negotiation committee chief, Maulana Samiul Huque has cut short his visit to Saudi Arabia after performing Umra and would return to Pakistan today to move the process of talks ahead, Geo News reported.
Talking to Geo News on phone here, he said the Taliban have announced the ceasefire and the government committee’s response in this regard was expected until tomorrow besides a meeting of the Taliban committee would also be held in Islamabad to review the latest situation as regards talks.
He said that a meeting of the government and Taliban committees was likely to be held with the Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday.
