Anti-state elements trying to sabotage peace efforts: Maulana Sami
ISLAMABAD: Maulana Samiul Haq, a member of the Taliban committee for peace talks, has expressed sorrow over the attack on court that killed 11 people in Islamabad on early Monday morning.
Speaking to media at the airport after his arrival from Saudi Arabia, he said that enemies of the country were trying to sabotage peace efforts. He said the Taliban will have to disassociate themselves from violent activities.
He urged the government to refrain from blaming Taliban for all the terrorist activities without proper investigation.
Samiul Haq asked the government to expose the anti-state elements. He said that the Taliban committee had received lists containing names of TTP prisoners.
The cleric said that the government should meet the Taliban demand of releasing their wives and children.
