Punjab Rangers honours world record setters

LAHORE: Punjab Rangers honoured the youth who set new world records during the ongoing Punjab Youth Festival 2014, and got their names entered in the Guinness Book of Records, bringing pride to the country.
In total, the youth set 29 new records and broke many previous ones in various categories.
On the special instructions of the chief of army staff (COAS) and by the hard work of former Director General (DG) of Punjab Rangers Major General Muhammad Hilal Hussain, as many as 19 records were decorated to the Pakistan Army at the festival.
Punjab Rangers DG Major General Khan Tahir Javed Khan honoured these youngsters at Wagah. To highlight and boost their morale, these record-setting youngsters were presented gifts. It was hoped that these youngsters would make a good name for Pakistan. The youth who took part in the festival thanked the Punjab Rangers for their hospitality. They enjoyed the ceremony and sang the national song, besides shouting “Punjab Rangers Zindabad!”
