7-member body to probe Dasti's allegations
ISLAMABAD: A seven-member committee has been constituted to probe the veracity of the allegations leveled by MNA Jamshed Dasti of ‘inappropriate behaviour’ at the Parliament Lodges.
Minister for Science and Technology Zahid Hamid told National Assembly that the committee has been assigned to report within a fortnight.
Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has been authorized to change any member of the committee.
The members of the committee comprise Imran Zafar Leghari, Dr Arif Alvi, Khaja Sohail Mansoor, Shahida Akhtar, Ali Kazim, Ali Shah, Mian Abdul Mannan and Sheikh Rohail Asghar.
Meanwhile, two bills were laid before the house including The Criminal Law (Amendment) Bill 2014 and The Hindu Marriage Bill 2014.
The House adopted a resolution urging the government to provide National Identity Cards to the people free of cost. (APP)
