LHWs appointed in 46 UCs for anti-dengue drive

Rawalpindi: Anti Dengue Campaign has been extended and Lady Health Workers have been appointed in 46 Union Councils (UC) of the city under the instruction of Punjab government. Campaign has been extended in 46 Union Councils after the spray of medicines on Surveillance and open waters in sensitive Union Councils declared by Health Ministry.
46 Female Staffs and health workers will perform special duties for door-to-door Bedari Campaign besides 80 sanitary patrols. Special analysts have also been appointed this year by Punjab Government to prepare a report after survey of the city and suggest about fogging and other measures for controlling the dengue virus. Punjab government has strongly instructed district officers to examine field staffs and send reports to provincial authority on daily basis.
