DBA for making security arrangements at courts

APP

RAWALPINDI: District Bar Association (DBA) Rawalpindi President Raja Nasir expressed dissatisfaction over the security arrangements at the courts.
Talking to APP, he said that there was a dire need to enhance security to avert any untoward incident. Law-enforcement agencies should immediately undertake a foolproof security plan for the safety of the courts and thousands of litigants who visit the courts daily.
He said that a meeting was held following the Islamabad incident regarding the security and the administration has approved funds for the installation of CCTV cameras and walkthrough gates to ensure security arrangements in and around the courts premises. He called for deploying young and energetic police officials for security purposes.
To ensure foolproof security, he said that lawyers would be provided security cards. Nasir said that it is our collective duty to keep an eye on miscreants carrying out subversive activities. He condemned the Islamabad terrorist attack in which precious lives were lost including additional district and sessions judge Rafaqat Awan.
