Army gears up relief; donates one-day ration

RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army on Tuesday announced to donate its one-day ration to the drought-affected population of Tharparkar. A press release issued by the ISPR said the ration will be delivered in each village and at the doorsteps of every affected family. “It will cater to 15-day ration requirement of every family,” the statement read. Meanwhile, the army has geared up relief activities in the drought-hit areas. The number of medical camps in Tharparkar has been increased to nine, while the mobile medical and food supply teams have reached the far-flung areas of Danahi, Majhniti and Chachro Goth.
