Aid begins to trickle to Thar's remote villages
THARPARKAR: Aid has started reaching remote rural areas while relief work in towns of the drought and famine-hit desert continues, Geo News reported on Sunday.
No fatalities have been reported in the last 36 hours from the Mithi Civil Hospital, which indicates that the situation has been brought under control to some extent.
Relief work has begun in the remote villages with food, medicines and other relief goods being distributed by various private donors and welfare organizations.
