Akber Bugti case : Arrest warrants for Musharraf’s guarantors


QUETTA: An anti-terrorist court (ATC) on Monday issued arrest warrants for the guarantors of former military ruler Pervez Musharraf, who is the prime accused in the Nawab Akber Khan Bugti murder case. ATC court Judge Justice Tariq Anwer Kasi issued the arrest warrants for Mumtaz Hussain and Nazeer Ahmed during the hearing of Nawab Bugti murder case on Monday. Court lamented the absence of Musharaf. “Prime accused Musharraf had never appeared before the court,” court observed while issuing the arrest warrants. Former Home Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpaoand former Provincial Home Minister Mir Shoiab Nosherani appeared before the court. The court accepted the bail pleas for the accused Sherpaoand Nosherwani. The hearing was adjourned till April 7th 2014. Earlier, court issued the arrest warrants for Musharraf who has never attended any hearing. Talking to media the former Home Minister Aftab Sherpaosaid that he will continue his cooperation in Nawab Bugti murder case. “Today the court has accepted our bail pleas and issued our bail orders. We will appear before the court in next hearings,” Sherpaosaid, adding that he is hopeful justice would be done in Bugti murder case.
