Suo moto: CJ summons IG Sindh in Karo-kari killingISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani Wednesday took a suo moto notice of the recent incident of Karo-kari (killing in the name of honour) in an area of Shikarpur district in the upper Sindh.
A few days ago a jirga (court of area notables) in Mehar tribe had allegedly ordered the killing of two women for what was reported as their marrying with the men of their own choosing.
Taking suo moto notice, Chief Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani has summoned Inspector General (IG) Sindh for March 20.
