Peace talks: Nisar chairs new government committee meeting
ISLAMABAD: The new government committee, formed to hold direct talks with Taliban, met under the chair of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan here on Wednesday, Geo News reported.
Sources said, in the meeting strategy was chalked out for direct talks with Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) shura.
The meeting also finalized plan for moving forward peace process between Taliban and government committees.
Direct talks would be held at a place within the reach of the government, the sources said and added that venue for the meeting would be finalized within 48 hours.
The meeting was informed that Taliban had promised to disassociate themselves from the groups who did not follow ceasefire.
