Quake shakes Punjab

LAHORE: A moderate earthquake shook Punjab on Thursday.
The earthquake measured 3.4-magnitude on the Richter scale and jolted several parts of the province, including provincial capital Lahore, according to the Met Department. The local met department said that the epicentre of the quake was Hafizabad and its depth was 66 kilometres. Scared people evacuated buildings and offices. The quake caused disruption in mobile networks in a few areas as panicked peoples started calling their relatives to know about their wellbeing.
The tremors were felt in various cities of the province, including Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahab, Kasur, Okara, Faisalabad, Hafizabad, Pindi Bhattiyaan, Sangla Hill, Bachayki, Narawal, Bhawalnagar, Bhalwal, Renala Khurd, Jalalpur and their suburb parts.
