Strike, tension continue in Sindh towns

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: Sindh continues to mourn the mysterious death of Jaey Sindh Qaumi Mahaz leader Maqsood Quraishi and his companion, while the situation in different towns and cities of the province remained tense on Saturday.
A complete shutter down strike was observed in the Moro, Bhirya Road, Mehrabpur, Padidan and other towns of the district following the other day’s tragic incident.
Rangers were deployed in Padidan due to the prevailing situation. Shops and business centres also remained closed in Larkana, Ratodero, Shahdadkot and other towns of the province, while police and Rangers personnel increased patrolling in the areas to avert any untoward incident. Life in Nawabshah, Dadu, Jacobabad, and Kashmore also remained at a standstill, while there was almost no traffic on the roads due to the strike call.
