Commissioner Income Tax remanded in NAB custody
PESHAWAR: A local accountability court on Tuesday remanded a commissioner Income Tax along with associates into the custody of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over charges of issuing fake cheques of millions of rupees.
The NAB presented before the accountability court commissioner Income Tax Abbotabad Asif Hyder and two officials of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Muhammad Sadiq and Muhammad Haroon over charges of issuing fake income tax refund cheques for Rs160 million.
Judge of the accountability court, Ibrahim Khan, on the request of NAB’s counsels, remanded the accused into NAB’s custody for 14 days.
