Minister in China to boost defence production cooperation

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain has reached China on a seven-day visit to explore new avenues of cooperation in defence production.
The minister will visit leading companies of defence industry, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Defence Production.
Pakistan and China have deep rooted brotherly ties and relations of two countries in the field of defence are also of great significance.
The minister will be the chief guest at a Pakistan Day reception hosted by the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing where he will meet people from all walks of life and highlight the recent success and strides of Pakistan’s defence production industry.
CSOC, CSTC (China Shipyard), ALIT (Aircraft Industry) and SASTIND will be key industries the minister will visit during the tour. He will be looking towards exploring future areas of joint collaboration with China on the lines of previous landmark agreements of JF-17, PNS Aslat and Al-Khalid Tanks.
